Wait, who am I?

Welcome and thank you for taking time to learn about me! I certainly hope you have enjoyed peeking through my work. I would love for us to be an amazing photographer/client duo, so please allow me to introduce myself; it won’t take long I promise!

My name is Kiana Ellison. To make it short and sweet here: I am a mama of two beautiful children, I’m an Aries, and I’m a huge foodie. I’m an outgoing person who is extremely passionate about doing the things I love and loving those important to me in life. Oh and also I’m pretty funny (at least I like to think so).

So where did I start?

I’m sure you are probably wondering where I got my start in this field. And even if you weren’t, I’m still gonna tell you anyways.

I was raised in Chicago (and no, I’m not actually from Chicago, I’m from Lombard, Illinois. It’s much easier to say Chicago). I have always been artistically inclined. It wasn’t until high school I found my love for photography. I was the first person in my high school to submit a photography portfolio to the college board during my AP Art class. Additionally, one piece of mine was nominated for an award which I won of course and received a cash prize. It was at that moment something clicked for me and I knew what my path would be.

I feel like photography is a great way for me to have flexibility in terms of work life balance. I also have worked in the restaurant industry for 10+ years and lots of funny stories.
